Over 30 years pre press experience. 45 years in the printing industry. Both litho and flexo. Comprehensive at examing digital art files for potential issues before reaching output stage. Extensive experience with Illustrator -- opening art files and checking for issues and correcting. Although I have used apps such as Flight check and Pitstop, I have found it is more comprehensive to open each file and check it for issues. Meticulous and organized. I have worked for several printing companies throughout the years.

• Color correction
• CMYK to CMY
• Fallout correction
• Correct transparency / blending issues
• Downsample large images
• Outlining fonts in PDF docs, even in problematic files
• Embedding images, correcting missing image issues in PDF docs
• Enhance photos, color correction
• Adding or creating bleed
• Create masks / pattern mask layers
• Create spot separations
• Working with PDF's in conjunction with Illustrator
Experienced in Flightcheck, Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, Esko, InDesign.
Familiar with pouches, shrink sleeves, labels, IRC's, booklet labels, DVD's, and more.
$50/hour, $35 min., negotiable based on work volume
