Prep Cook/Dishwasher:
Position reports to: kitchen manager, general manager
Summary of position: Dishwasher's primary objective is to provide clean and safe kitchen area for our staff. Must wash the following but not limited to: floors, pots, pans, and cooking equipment, walk in's, griddle, prep station. Keep dish washing area clean and organized. Prep cook's primary objective is to support the line cooks and kitchen manager staff to make sure inventory is stocked and prepped daily.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
•Maintain professional attitude while performing duties.
•Assumes 100% responsibility for the cleanliness of dishes/ equipment.
•Properly wash, sanitize and store all kitchen equipment and containers.
•Handle kitchen equipment carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
•Maintain adequate levels of dishwashing product (sponges, soap, gloves)
•Keep sink, food preparation and production areas clean and organized as required.
•Prep of inventory and stock daily and on inventory delivery days (Tuesday and Thursday)
•Prepare product for the kitchen manager such as bacon, vegetables, fresh made salsa
•Take out and breakdown trash for the establishment
•Weekly deep cleaning responsibilities of all areas of the kitchen including but not limited to oven, griddle, walk in cooler/freezer, dry stock
Required qualifications:
•Complete food handler certification
•Must be able to work a minimum of 20-25 hours a week
•Must be able to complete required tasks within time frame given by management
•Must be able to multitask and work alone
•2+ year of knife and commercial equipment knowledge
