Job Summary:
The Kitchen Chef will prepare and cook daily menu items, manage prep, maintain quality and consistency, and support smooth kitchen operations. Ideal candidate has commercial kitchen experience, strong prep skills, strong leadership skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Responsibilities:
Prepare & cook sandwiches, salads, hot entrees, and specials
Execute daily prep (sauces, roasted meats, sliced deli items, produce prep)
Maintain consistent flavors, quality, portioning & presentation
Keep kitchen clean, organized, and efficient
Follow all food safety/sanitation standards
Assist with inventory, ordering needs & waste reduction
Support training of team members when needed
Collaborate on seasonal dishes & specials
Qualifications:
Experience in a restaurant, deli, or market kitchen
Knife & prep efficiency
ServSafe certified or willing to obtain
Dependable, motivated & detail-oriented
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand for long periods & lift up to 40 lbs
