The Food Production Associate is responsible for performing various tasks essential to the manufacturing, processing, and packaging of food products. This role requires strict adherence to food safety standards, quality control procedures, and efficient work practices within a fast-paced environment.
Production and Processing
Operate and monitor basic production machinery and equipment according to established procedures.
Prepare raw ingredients, including washing, chopping, mixing, or weighing, as needed for specific recipes.
Assemble and process food items accurately on the assembly line.
Monitor product quality, quickly identifying and removing any defective items or foreign materials.
Packaging and Labeling
Package finished food products manually or using automated equipment.
Ensure all products are correctly sealed, labeled, and dated according to company specifications.
Prepare finished boxes or trays for shipping by stacking, palletizing, and wrapping them.
Safety and Sanitation
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety regulations (e.g., proper hand washing, wearing required protective gear).
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work surfaces.
Adhere to all company safety policies to prevent injuries, particularly those related to lifting and machinery operation.
Qualifications and Requirements
Prior experience in a food production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment is preferred, but not always required.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to work in varying temperatures, which may include cold or refrigerated areas.
Strong commitment to safety, hygiene, and product quality.
Basic reading and math skills to understand recipes, schedules, and labels.
Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
Schedule: 6am -6pm or 6pm - 6 am
