Kitchen Assistant / Sous Chef
Location: Costa Mesa, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
No nights. No weekends. Ever.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Line Cook or Sous Chef to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside our chef developing and testing recipes, creating new food products, and supporting daily kitchen operations.

Responsibilities
Assist the Chef with recipe execution, product development, and testing
Prepare recipes accurately and consistently
Document recipes, procedures, and product specifications with attention to detail
Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, and safety
Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and operating efficiently
Assist with general kitchen operations as needed
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Line Cook or Sous Chef
Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques
Excellent attention to detail
Highly organized with strong documentation skills
Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Preferred Qualifications
Formal culinary training
5+ years of experience in a high-volume restaurant kitchen
Spanish speaking is a plus
