We are looking for Lesbian-Latina women who have heroically overcome their battles with addiction to share their experiences with long-term sobriety. We believe that there are cultural values and strengths within Latina-Lesbian communities that, if identified and recognized, would contribute to better treatment and support for women who are just starting their path to recovery

To be eligible for participation participants must…
~be a adult aged 18-99 with competency in English language skills
~self-identify as Latina and lesbian
~have experienced substance addiction while living in the U.S.
~have no active legal issue pertaining to their substance use history
~have 2 years of sobriety
~have access to Zoom
Participants will be asked to sit for one virtual Zoom interview lasting no longer than 90 minutes where they will share their history with substance use, their change towards sobriety, and what has helped them stay sober. This interview will have be audio recorded. A brief follow-up will occur at a later date with participants giving their insight on the found results. Participation is completely voluntary, you are free to withdraw from the study at any time, or you may choose not to answer any specific questions. Information you provide will be de-identified and stored on an encrypted drive kept under lock and key. If qualifying participants know of any other interested eligible candidates, please pass this information onto them!
