Volt Workforce Solutions has partnered with a large automotive company in Orange County, CA to find an Assistant Manager of Purchasing.
Candidate will work with Business Division and Purchasing management on strategic planning and analysis of complex initiatives and projects.
- Manage the bid process including solicitation, analysis, negotiations, and evaluation recommendations.
- Prepare purchase orders and entering in ERP system with all required detail information and terms and conditions
- Develop and maintain positive supplier relationships, including review of supplier performance.
- Prepare reports on utilization, expenditures, cost savings and other purchasing activities.
- Analyze the company's purchasing requirements, research market conditions, and recommend improvements for purchasing procedures and strategies.
- 5+ years’ experience directly handling the development, negotiation, monitoring, and administration of contracts Finance/legal background
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Advanced negotiation skills
