Barbie in the Nutcracker was the first movie in the Barbie film series. The movie is about Barbie, who plays Clara, who receives a nutcracker that comes to life to fight the evil Mouse King. After being shrunk by a spell, Clara and the nutcracker go on an adventure to find the Sugarplum Princess, the only one who can break the spell. This film features the music of Tchaikovsky and the choreography of real life dance movements from the New York City Ballet, choreographed by Peter Martins. The DVD is in English and has a runtime of approximately eighty-one minutes. Bonus features include a documentary "Living a Ballet Dream" and an interactive game "Act with Barbie".
