No need for a head unit when connected to an amplifer, best results are with a 4 channel capable amp. Use 2 sets of RCA cables from VC 1 to your amplifier. Connect ground (black), remote (blue) wire to amp, connect hot (red) to keyed source.
Note: Can be used with a head unit, 4 channel is most efficient.
