The D130 was the second low frequency loudspeaker introduced by James B. Lansing Sound, following the D101 of 1946. It was personally designed and developed by James Lansing himself, and was produced from 1948 thru the 1960s. This one dates to the time period immediately following Lansing's departure from Altec, as demonstrated by the lack of "JBL" on the rear panel.
This speaker retains all the original components and was rated at 25 watts power input. There are some small repairs to the paper cone as can be seen in the photos, and the surround has been doped to restore some flexibility and durability. DC resistance of the voice coil still measures 6.3 ohms (noted in the original build).
