The Proceed line was a celebrated offshoot of high-end manufacturer Madrigal Audio Laboratories (the parent company of Mark Levinson).
Their flagship AV preamplifiers/processors—most notably the PAV (Proceed A/V) and the AVP/AVP2—combined uncompromising stereo preamplification with advanced home theater capabilities.
Proceed PAV (Audio/Video Preamplifier) Released in the mid-1990s, this model was designed to act as a high-end stereo preamp with built-in surround processing. Decoding & Modes: Dolby Pro Logic, THX, and Music modes.
Frequency Response: Unspecified (Madrigal famously relied on subjective listening and actual sonic performance over raw measurements). Signal-to-Noise Ratio (Main Outputs): > 80 dB at 0 dB output. Maximum output: 10V RMS (balanced).
