Ooma is a VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) phone system that works and functions more like a landline than your cell phone. But the service is free, though the government does charge utility taxes.
So if you still have a landline, or you'd like to have a house phone in addition to your cell service, this is a great option.
This Ooma Telo Base is a newer model so it will connect to your internet system wirelessly, unlike the earlier models which required a hard-wired ethernet connection.
This base can also connect via ethernet but it can connect wirelessly.
This system comes with 3 HD3 handsets, though one of them was going in and out before I disconnected it. I suspect that it was just a battery issue, but I did not confirm that.
I can confirm that two of the handsets work great and one was having charging issues.
There is also a 4th handset that is the older HD2 handset.
I'm including all the AC adapters for the base and all handsets, as well as rechargeable batteries for all handsets.
The base has been de-registered and so it is ready to connect to Ooma's service for whoever purchases this unit.
Ooma has a premium service that will provide additional services beyond the free service. It is not too expensive and will block robo-calls. There are many other services that may be helpful.
