Responsibilities/Qualifications:
• Will work directly under Vice President as part of the Business Development & Estimating Department.
• Attend Job walks with ownership and or general contractors and assist in Electrical and Low Voltage scope development.
• Be able to estimate projects based on job walks and scope of work provided by Ownership and or General Contractors.
• Be able to estimate electrical projects based on Electrical drawings.
• Be able to estimate electrical projects based on only having Architectural Drawings
• Be able to identify scope gaps based on code requirements and accurately estimate the cost.
• Be able to value engineer scopes of work to minimize overall cost and still maintain all requirements.
• Manage own time to ensure deadlines are met and job walks are attended
• Negotiate with Customers over project costs and budgets.
• Be able to clearly and concisely transfer all project information to Operations Team.
• Facilitate vendor quotes as needed in a timely manner prior to bid date. Collect multiple vendor quotes for large switchgear and lighting packages to ensure competitive pricing.
• Be able to create submittal packages
• Be able to create project budgets.
• Create personal relationships with clients, ownership groups, vendors, etc.
• Be willing to make short journeys (often with little notice) to any of the states we work in (Arizona, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Washington, Wyoming)
• Be proficient in the National Electrical Code, Green Building Requirements, and Title-24, particularly how they apply to dwelling units.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Bluebeam, Accubid, CRM
• Ability to drive company car / clean driving record
• Minimum 5 years experience
