# Position Overview
Our programs are held at elementary and middle schools throughout **Tustin and Irvine**.
Lead Instructors are responsible for delivering engaging, structured lessons while creating a fun, positive learning environment.
Assistant Instructors support Lead Instructors by assisting with activities, classroom management, student supervision, and program setup.
Site Managers (Oversight) help ensure each program runs smoothly by assisting with student check-in, helping locate students who have not checked in, answering parent questions, coordinating instructors across campus, and serving as the primary point of contact at the school site.

# Schedule
This is a **part-time after-school position**.
Programs operate **Monday through Friday only.**
**No weekends.**
**Wednesday**
• Approximately **12:30 PM – 3:30 PM**
These are **program operating windows—not shift lengths.**
Most individual classes run **45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes**, and instructors may teach one or more classes during these windows depending on program assignments.
Hours are based on your availability and current class enrollments.
Some instructors work **one day per week**, while others work **up to five days per week**.

# Flexible Scheduling
One of the best parts of working with IAC is flexibility.
You tell us which days you're available, and we'll offer class assignments that match your schedule.
You are never required to accept every assignment.
However, once you accept a class assignment, you're committing to the entire session, which typically runs **8–10 weeks**.
You'll receive your full schedule in advance, allowing you to plan ahead with confidence.

# Compensation
**$35–$75 per class**
Compensation is based on:
* Position
* Experience
* Program assigned
* Class length
Pay is **per class**, not hourly.
Most classes last **45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes**.
Classes exceeding 1 hour 15 minutes receive additional compensation, which will be discussed before accepting the assignment.
As you gain experience with IAC, opportunities for higher-paying classes and leadership positions become available.

### Requirements
* Wednesday availability (required)
* Reliable transportation
* Willingness to travel to schools throughout Tustin and Irvine
* Ability to pass a DOJ Live Scan background check
* Ability to commit to the full duration of accepted program sessions
Experience in teaching, coaching, tutoring, childcare, recreation, or youth programs is preferred—but **not required**.
Training is provided.
