Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Horticulture & Display Specialists to join our expanding team at our flagship location in Costa Mesa, CA. This role requires flexibility for the ever changing needs and demands of the business. Position combines plant care, landscape styling, and showroom display coordination to ensure our clients experience beautiful, healthy, and elevated environments.
Responsibilities:
Plant Care & Maintenance
• Select, plant, and maintain indoor and outdoor plants
• Monitor watering schedules, soil health, drainage, and sunlight exposure
• Prune, fertilize, and replace plants to maintain optimal health and presentation
• Identify and treat pests or plant diseases
Landscape & Display Design
• Create visually compelling plant and pottery arrangements for showroom and outdoor displays
• Style seasonal vignettes highlighting planters, fountains, and garden elements
• Maintain a cohesive, elevated aesthetic aligned with brand standards
Inventory & Product Coordination
• Coordinate plant selection with incoming pottery and garden inventory
• Repot plants into featured containers for display and sale
• Track inventory levels of plants, soil, and materials. Assist with restocking as needed
Customer Experience & Sales Support
• Advise clients on plant care, container pairings, and landscape styling
• Support sales through product knowledge and elevated presentation
• Assist with client inquiries and follow-up as needed
Physical Operations & Equipment Handling
• Safely lift, move, and position heavy pottery, fountains, and garden elements
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, and forklifts as needed
• Assist with loading/unloading shipments, including large, high-value and fragile items
• Support installation and placement of large-scale pieces in showroom or off-site client settings
• Follow safety protocols when handling heavy materials and operating machinery
Outdoor Space & Installation Support
• Maintain indoor/outdoor nursery areas, courtyards, and garden displays
• Assist with on-site installations for residential or commercial projects
• Set up and break down displays for events or seasonal transitions
Qualifications:
• Experience in horticulture, gardening, landscaping, or related field
• Ability to safely lift and handle heavy materials
• Strong aesthetic sense and attention to detail
• Familiarity with showroom or retail environments a plus
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 50–75 lbs regularly
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Compensation:
• Competitive hourly rate or salary based on experience
