My father bought this new and has stored it ever since the purchase. It was supposed to be his “On Golden Pond” boat, but that never happened.
The hull doesn’t even have engine mounts drilled.
The skegs were a custom design, designed and installed by Carson Brummett (Brummett Racing Engines/Mandella boats).
Even though the boat hasn’t been in the water/finished it is not perfect. It suffers from the well known Mandella paint on the belt line on the bow. Also there is a dime sized chip in the gel coat on the transom. My father thinks he dropped a wrench on it years ago.
My father can’t recall the year of manufacture, he just keeps repeating “you were in diapers.” I’m 53 for reference.
The boat will be parked at the Grand National Roadster show in Jan. Unless it sells beforehand. I have a ton of other pieces to complete this including:
A newly rebuilt Casale V Drive (Never used)
Two 427 Chevy big blocks that come back to 1967 Corvette/Chevelle
A DZ302 Chevy crate engine (all of these were bought new, as crate engines and never ran with the exception of dyno runs. These were assembled by the Summers Bros while they were running Golden Rod land speed car.
Crower injection (never installed)
Two seats for the boat. Never used.
Multiple sets of Headers. One with water injection, one without.
And much more.
