清乾隆痕都斯坦九龙活环白玉香炉
For your consideration is a superb museum quality imperial Qianlong period Mughal style giant jade censer, huge size about 14" (350 mm) tall and 14" (350 mm) wide, perfect condition. The supreme purity of jade is also corresponding to Qianlong period, particularly with the golden stone skin/spot that is unique to Qianlong era. Mughal style masterpiece is characterized by the ultra thin wall and reticulated design, only imperial workshop had this kind of fine skill and workmanship.
The most outstanding features are the 12 loose rings! It is extremely difficult to carve loose rings out of the same chunk of jade. Very few people know that techniques and it takes tremendous effort to plan and execute. The lid is carved with one dragon head and 4 loose rings, while the bottom part is decorated with 2 dragon heads along with 8 loose rings. Museum quality antique like this certainly came from imperial workshop, even a beginner can tell its true value. It remains in perfect condition after so many years simply because high quality jade is extremely durable.
Cash only please. Because of the high value, I will only show it to buyers who are absolutely serious about purchase.
