Extremely Rare 18th-19th Century Carved Wood Figure

Rare carved figure of a Quaker or Pilgrim possibly made as a candle holder.
Estimate to be mid 1700's to early 1800's. It may be older.?
I have had this in my collection for around 18-20 years. I still use it regularly as a candle holder. It may have held something else other than a candle originally.?
He has a carved-out area on the right side (his satchel) that may have had an insert to hold something. I use it as a match holder.
Wonderful carving. A little loss on the tip of the nose and the edge of the hat used to hold the candle.
Pretty good condition for being several hundred years old.
One of the last few of my old carved wood items collection I have offered for sale.
