These acid solutions are best for testing jewelries or any pieces where scratches are not a problem. Can test bars and coins as well if you don't mind scratches.
I do not recommend the 18kt gold solution for testing silver other sterling silver. I recommend using the silver acid solution for testing silver and other sterling silver items.
