Earl J. Cacho is an active artist known for his figures of Western themes, wildlife and Native Americans. The piece,"PAST GLORIES", is one such example showing an aging warrior chief holding a buffalo skull and below him stands a buffalo bull. This is oak-framed with a three-colored mat of beige, red and brown to highlight the colors in the art work. At the bottom on the front, the artist has handwritten: 811/950, Past Glories, and with two paw prints drawn above his signature. On the back, he added an ink drawing showing an Indian village and signed it along with the date 11-24-90 along with an inscription to the owners. Framed, this piece measures 27 1/4" wide x 37 1/4" high.
