**Position Summary**
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented **Bookkeeper** to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily operations, and ensuring smooth financial management within our firm.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Record and reconcile daily transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
* Manage general ledger entries and ensure accurate classification of expenses and income
* Process and track vendor invoices, reimbursements, and credit card expenses
* Reconcile bank and investment accounts monthly to ensure data accuracy
* Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
* Support payroll preparation and ensure timely submission of related tax filings (if applicable)
* Maintain organized financial records to support compliance and audits
* Monitor cash flow and budget usage alongside firm leadership
* Communicate with vendors and internal staff to resolve billing or payment issues
**Qualifications**
* Proven bookkeeping or accounting experience; financial services industry experience strongly preferred
* Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office 365
* Understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred but not required)
**Schedule & Compensation**
* Part-time (approximately three days per week in the office)
* Pay based on experience and skill level
