The film is non-union. Copy, credit, and meals provided (no pay). The finished film will be submitted to multiple festivals across the country/internationally.

Katelyn Duran - female, early 20’s, Caucasian, attractive, athletic/toned physique.

All we need is an audition video from you. Keep it fairly straightforward and then upload it to something like YouTube, Vimeo, Shutterfly, etc., and then send us the link.
The video needs to be NO LONGER than 5 minutes long and must contain your testimonial as to why you have that burning desire and NEED to be made funny. Use the remainder of your time and give us a couple minutes of you being your funniest. Whether it's stand up, improv, knock knock jokes- whatever you do that you think is funny, we want to see you in action.

For new dancers practices are generally twice a week, usually on a week night and some Saturday or Sunday. A practice DVD will be provided to speed up the process of learning the choreography.
We mostly have shows on the weekends-Saturdays and some random weekdays and evenings. We usually schedule shows upon who is available and rotate shifts so it's balanced.

Plot summary: Average guy, George, who wants nothing more than to have a girlfriend, aspires to be a musician, but works a 9-5 type job while attending community college. He smokes weed everyday and eventually falls in love with his slanger's (Heath) girlfriend, Mikayla. As his slanger, Heath, has been in jail for several weeks, George goes to his house in desperate need of some good weed, in which he runs into Heath's girlfriend Mikayla, the girl of his dreams. He finds her still devastated over the loss of her boyfriend and attempts to console her. They develop a relationship as George teaches her how to get rid of the remains of the large amounts of weed (approx. $3,500 worth) Heath left behind by selling all of it in a week's time.

MIKAYLA:
-Age 21. About 5'7. Brunette. Stunning beauty inside and out. Innocent heart. A follower rather than a leader. Doesn’t work or go to school. Won’t admit she relies on her bf but she does. High school graduate. Used her looks to get through life thus far. Unsure of herself until she meets George. Eventually falls for George while selling remains of weed Heath left behind.
HEATH:
-Age 26. About 6'0. Dark long hair. Scruffy 5 o'clock shadow look. Never what he seems. Confident and a risk taker. Mysterious. Slangs more than just weed. Runs an operation with trafficking coke from overseas and distributing it throughout Orange County. Had bulk of his drugs kept in an unknown location while he made smaller coke deals from his house in HB; continued to slang weed to keep his real goals a secret from his gf and others. The money he made from weed was considered chump change to him and most of the time would give that money to Mikayla. Probably only kept Mikayla around for her looks rather than brains.
Looking for actors or a non actors for this role. Just need the right look.
Tentative dates to shoot are 11/21, 11/22 and 12/5, 12/6 (unofficial dates). Haven't created full shot list but will have an official one in next 2 days.

1 Cop (will supply tactical shirt, badge, fake gun, and tactical belt, etc. all you need are black matching pants)
1 Detective (will supply leather badge holder with chained badge as well as fake gun and left shoulder gun harness, all you need is to bring tan slacks and a white dress shirt with tie)
2 Drug Dealers who get arrested (clothing will vary, not of importance)

Below I have given more information concerning the story line and what we will actually need from actors.
Story Line: Takes place in 1947 Los Angeles and is a story about a woman who loves to dance. She tries her best to get her community church to allow her to have a praise dance ministry and she is forbidden. Since she can not have her way with dance in church she opens a jazz club, where she dances swing every night. With the help of her friends and a handsome new reverend that has come to town she is able to get her praise dance in church.
There are three days in total that we will need Actors/Actresses! We will offer everyone who comes a free head shot photo shoot with two pictures. They will the have the pictures to use as they like. We will also provide a meal and snacks to everyone.
If you have clothing that will fit the 1940's please bring them. If not please ask them to forward us let us know your clothing sizes so that we can see if we can find clothing for you.
