Purebred Checkoslovakian German Shephard
We recently moved into a place with no backyard for our dogs. We are trying to rehome our largest dog to a family with a large running area for him.
Jacob is a 2 1/2 year old Purebred Checkoslovakian German Shepherd . He is between 75 and 80 lbs. He is up to date on all of his vaccinations and was recently neutered. He doesn\'t need boosters for 11 months. He is a very submissive dog and would do great an any house with other dogs smaller than him. He has done great living with a 40lb dog, 17lb dog, and 2lb dog. He does usually have a little confrontation with male dogs larger than him. He does bark at cats that he sees outside... but has done fine with our cat and kittens. He also has been around ducklings, bunnies, goats, horses, rats, and turtles and has been completely fine with them.
He is housebroken, and will use an outside area if he has access to one in a timely fashion.\\
Jake knows his basic commands, like sit and stay but would benefit from some 1-on-1 training. He is very easy to train, as he retains information very quickly. He is FANTASTIC with small children an adolecents. He has been around toddlers and infants also, flawlessly. He absolutely ADORES small children, though.
He is a great listener inside the house, but has an easier time listening to a male at first. When outside on a leash he does need a little TLC. He is a hard leash puller, and i would recommend a choke chain. I will provide you with his brand new half collar-choke if you decide to adopt him. He also becomes very protective when he is on-leash, and gets a little aggressive when another dog approaches whoever is holding the leash, unless he is familiar with the dog approaching. He is fine with all people approaching. He will snap at another dog approaching though, so he does need this behavior worked on before it gets worse.
