Want to be a part of the 2008 election?

The nation’s attention will be on swing states this fall – and there are LOTS of jobs available there!

If you want to be a part of the action, we’ll help you get to one of our program cities: Denver or Cincinnati,
and get a job with a group like MoveOn, Sierra Club, ACORN, or a candidate campaign of your choice.

Whereas most young people will have to pay their own way for housing and track down a good job on their
own, as a Swing Semester 2008 participant you will:

Get support in finding a paid job with a progressive organization

Live for free with a swing state host family

Get hooked up with all the local trainings, events, parties, etc.

Form a community with other young people

Even earn academic credit if you are taking time off from school

Our first program city, Denver, opened in early September and runs through November 7th – right after
election day. Cincinnati just opened this week. We still have a few spots left in both Denver and Cincinnati!

Swing Semester is a non-profit organization that makes it possible for young people to get involved this fall.
The Swing Semester 2008 program is for anyone, 18-26, whether or not you have prior experience in
organizing or politics.

You can expect to earn between $2000-$2400 during the 6 weeks you are out in one of our program cities.
The program fee is $850, and includes job counseling for a paying job, housing in a private room with a host
family, community events, on-the-ground support, and a civic education. (Don’t let the program fee be a barrier!
We offer SCHOLARSHIPS and have a payment plan available. Call us at 1-866-YO-SWING to talk
through your options.)

Apply now to be one of our 150 participants across key swing state cities. Pick your city!
