The purpose of the Malibu MODster role is to build Malibu image and presence and assist in driving distribution and consumer trial. The main responsibility for this position is marketing and building catering sales. You will be contacting prospected clients through a number of sales activities. Understanding the weekly and period goals is a must. Other responsibilities: making deliveries, putting orders together, and making follow up calls.

The right candidate can work independently and will embrace the opportunity to grab a
hold and grow the business. They are a self-starter who understands that they have a responsibility to grow the business in slow and busy times. You must be organized, able to manage your time wisely and are very detail oriented.

The normal schedule for this position is Monday thru Friday 6:30 a.m.- 3 p.m. or 8 am to 5 pm, but this can change depending on deliveries and orders. Weekends are rare unless there is a special function, or large order.

It is required that you be familiar with Word, Excel and the Internet.

Food service experience is a plus. You will be getting your hands dirty.

Identify the best practice in strategic partner marketing activities and ensure that this is accommodated within the program and shared across the business segments.
Work with each Territory Sales and PMs to build and maintain strategic partner�s website presence. Define content and ensure that it adhere to the agreed strategy.
Proactively communicate with General Manager on performance and marketing plans for each distribution method and recommend ideas for improvement.
Serve as an interface between Product Managers, Territory Sales and Distribution Account Manager Functions.
Develop standard business plan template for each business segment to use with select channel partners, working with business segment to ensure these plans are completed.
Provide proactive support to help each business segment and Territory Sales recruit and replace channel partners, as well as improving the performance of existing partners.
Work closely with each business segment to ensure successful execution of campaigns and programs on each territory level.
Work with each Segment Product Manager to ensure that channel partners are equipped with product knowledge, identifying and addressing gaps accordingly.
Responsible for the ongoing aspects of the partnership, including (but not limited to) training, event co-ordination, equipment requests are developed or provided and executed effectively.
Provide ROI analysis of investments and success measurement of programs.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABLITIES:

Demonstrated success in product launches and promotion geared to channel partners.
Experience with working at a matrix-structured organization.
Excellent oral communication and writing skills along with strong presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed assigned targets and deadlines.
Ability to work in a team-oriented management environment and to help solve problems.
Ability to direct the work of assigned personnel as requested or required.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong project management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS/BA degree in business related disciplines; MBA preferred.
At least 5 years marketing experience with at least 2 years in channel marketing required.
