This position is a great opportunity to assist with the start-up of new residential mortgage servicing company located in Orange County, CA.  This new company will be a subsidiary of a mortgage investment firm headquartered in NY City with an additional office located in Dallas, TX.  This individual will report to the Director of Human Resources in NY as well as the CEO of the new company, and will function as the HR “point person” in the CA office, assisting with all HR activities as required.  Must be willing to take on additional responsibilities as they arise.<br>
<br>
Responsibilities will include:<br>
•	Support Director of Human Resources with HR tasks relating to the CA office, including the establishment of an HR department<br>
•	Facilitate onboarding details for pre-employment process including paperwork, drug screening, etc.<br>
•	Assist in processing new employee paperwork/termination paperwork<br>
•	In coordination with HR Director, maintain all employee files and related record keeping of personnel data and I-9 records; conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and completeness<br>
•	Assist in the enrollment and change process for health care and other benefit plans<br>
•	Assist employees with questions/issues regarding all HR areas<br>
•	Process leave requests<br>
•	Facilitate performance review systems and procedures<br>
•	Provide employment verification for outside parties<br>
•	Assist senior management with the recruiting, scheduling and screening of candidates for open positions<br>
•	Assistance in ensuring compliance with Federal and state laws and regulations for an easier transition of employees from existing company to new<br>
•	Assist the HR director with evaluations of time/attendance tracking system for hourly rate employees as well as make recommendations regarding implementation / monitoring of same<br>
•	Help develop and administer all corporate policies and procedures<br>
•	Provide coaching, counseling, conflict resolution as needed; address employee relations matters, investigate where appropriate and provide appropriate recommendations<br>
•	Conduct internal training programs<br>
•	Assist Director of Corporate Communications with rollout of communications plan and other necessary employee communications particularly during interim period and at time of deal close<br>
•	Other administrative tasks and/or special projects as they arise<br>
<br>
Requirements:<br>
•	Bachelor’s Degree and 3 – 5 years of HR generalist or related work<br>
•	Strong team player who is a motivated, enthusiastic, self-starter comfortable in a start-up environment<br>
•	Independent thinker with the ability to deal with the uncertainties of an evolving dynamic organization.<br>
•	The ability to engage in reasoned dialogue on all issues, to be flexible, and to affect change<br>
•	Ability to take existing systems / processes and improve them, keeping them in-line with overall corporate goals<br>
•	Knowledge of CA labor laws, especially as relating to hourly rate employees, overtime policies, etc.<br>
•	Organized and detail oriented individual comfortable working with senior level management and communicating with all levels of staff<br>
•	Experience running and managing internal training programs required<br>
•	Familiarity with mortgage servicing and/or mortgage investment a plus<br>

- Oversee all benefit programs including Health & Welfare, 401k, Deferred Compensation.

- Responsibilities include input on executive compensation including regulatory and compliance expectations as well as input on equity programs.

- Plan, direct and supervise all company-wide recognition/reward programs.

- Partner with HR leadership and Executive Committee in the prioritization of Talent Management initiatives in support of a high performing culture.

Requirements:
